Look at those pointy spikes! You could take an eye out with one of those!
With the man away fishing on the weekend, I got a lot of sewing done! I'm very happy with how all the quarters matched up, I was expecting to do some unpicking but it all went smoothly. Now how to quilt it? I was thinking pebble quilting in the white but then for the points, maybe a straight line of hand quilting along the longer point's edge? Thoughts dear viewers?
As I have been looking at it I questioned too myself, why did I do the colour wheel going around twice? So for my second one I am just going to go around once. I have my material cut and labeled, ready to go for another big weekend of sewing!

Fantástico!!!!
It looks fantastic Helen, but OMG, scroll up and down your blog so the picture of the full circle moves up and down, and see what that does to your eyes!!!
I'd McTavish the background, and maybe quilt a circular motif in the centre in clear monofilament. Centres of something like that are a challenge.
This is spectacular, Helen! And I actually like the fact that you repeated the color wheel - it gives it an interesting balance and symmetry. But it will look equally good with just one go-round, I'm sure. And I like your idea for quilting it - your pebble quilting is wonderful, and it will make the spikey part really pop!
looks fantastic!
I just took Emma's suggestion - yowza, it looked like your spikes turned into wings and that gorgeous quilt was going to fly right off the blog!! It is really amazing Helen. I'm afraid I'm bogged down with my own quilting conundrum at the moment so I can't think of anything else to suggest.....
Hey, the hanging spikes are fixed! Well done!
LOVE IT!
I'm sure you will do a fantastic job no matter how you quilt it. It is gorgeous!
i love it! the colours looks so great against the white1
It is beautiful. Did you use a pattern? If so what one? As far as quilting, my only suggestion is to be careful not to create stops of the eye. Right now the moves very nicely around and out - you don't want your quilting to stop that in any way.
It is fabulous! Great colour work and precision piecing!
I would like straight line quilting following the spikes and V lines in the white space.
LOVE it!
Awesome!
