Pink and Purple Windows
I finished the quilt top over the weekend. I'm very happy with how quickly it has come together and how effective it looks. It inspired me to sandwich it immediately and I have already started quilting it since taking these photos this morning.
Windy weather, the build up to the Wet Season is beginning....

A Blast from the Past!
I had to get some purple fabric out of the purple fabric draw this weekend and look what I found folded up neatly in a zip lock bag at the back of the drawer? My bocks received from Bee FF 2012.. 2012?? A friend's wife at work has just had their second daughter, I think I will sash it with 1 inch white strips and wolah, baby quilt!

Deers on Cyan and Orange!
See the little white deer on the cyan background and also the same print in an orange? I have wanted to sew something with this fabric for ages! It's "cutesy woodland folk" which is so not my usual style! So I decided to incorporate it into one of these wonky bento boxes which I have done before with success.
The result was this baby quilt which I finished the binding on this week.
The back was fun to complete as much as the front. A great way to use up those scraps made from cutting the front blocks.
Did my standard up and down texture. Now I have my new thread quilting is a breeze. It is already wrapped up for it's new home.

Fabulous Friday!
I had a lovely mail day yesterday. This lovely, lovely, lovely bundle of thread arrived in the mail. 12 reels of Aurifil. It's the "Simply Colour" Collection. Soooo pretty!

A Wonky Picket Fence Table Runner
I finally finished the binding on this green and yellow sort of a wonky picket fence block.
It measures 36 inches long by 19 inches wide.
I had this square floating in the WIP/UFO pile so I used it for the backing.
I am really happy with the texture of the quilting. That Aurifil 50 did wonders! Now it's finished I have it rolled up in my "present stash" draw for that occasion when you suddenly need to gift a table runner.
