WIP Wednesday - week 9

Hand sewing WIP this week! Daz took this action shot last night. My fingers are a bit numb from sewing the binding on this. Did quite a bit today, sitting on the couch watching Brother Bear with Grace during quiet time. It looks good. If I stay off the computer for the next 24 hours, I should get it finished!

Am in a deliema though. The final boarder of strips is not quilted. To do a meander stipple or just leave it as it is? Its a nice contrast but am wondering will it look a bit odd?

Opinions please!

Love it on the red/pink blanket you've got it on...maybe a red/pink border on my blue quilt???

My tuppence worth says to quilt it.

The quilt looks wonderful. I love the colors. I often leave narrower inner borders unquilted because I feel it pops a bit and looks like a frame, but it is hard to say which would be better without seeing the entire quilt.

I just love the colors in your quilt. Yeah, you might as well quilt the edge, it will complete. Go with your first instinct, a simple meander. It will hold up better too if you plan to use it too. You must be so happy to be finishing the binding!

Hi Ladies,

Thanks all for your tuppence/thoughts! LOL I finished the binding last night and think that I will quilt it. *sigh* as much as I would love to be sewing the label on it, I'll do the boarder first! Thanks again. :)

Wow Helen, I love this quilt - the colours are fantastic together. You inspire me to give it a go one day! Can't wait to see the finished photo.
