Blogtoberfest Day 4 - Stuffing bags for the Sister.

Those of you that have read this blog for awhile know I have a sister and she likes to occasionally dip her toes into the fabric selling pool like we did back here. It is really just an excuse to go and buy more fabric! Her latest scheme is having a stall in a few Sunday's time here. Now being nearly 4,000kms away I won't be able to attend in person, but I can still chop up fabric to make scrap bags! So that is how I spent most of yesterday. Above is a photo of what 38 zip lock bags of fabric roughly equalling two FQ's in each look like! I have 2 more bags to stuff to bring it up to a total of 40 bags but run out of zip lock bags yesterday afternoon, as you do!

Going through the stash was quite cleansing in a way. Looking at a piece and thinking will I ever use that? Or more along the lines of what was I thinking when I brought that??!! The two bags above are classic examples. The fabric on the left in both bags I brought at the big quilt show back in 2007, and never cut into. If I haven't used them in 3 years, well I don't think I am ever going to use these!

It was a walk back memory lane seeing some prints that had been shoved at the bottom of the stash. Did I really like such bright fabric? Sun glasses on for the bottom pack!

So if you are in Subiaco on Sunday the 31st, pop in and see Ad to purchase one (or two!) of these amazing scrap bags, I think she is selling them for about $8? I don't know, I'm just posting them down to her, my job here is done!

I'll bet it was cleansing...I should get busy doing the same thing! My shelves are bursting and there are piles of new fabric all over my sewing room waiting for a spot to clear!
