Unpicking.....

Last Saturday at SIT, I spent the day hand quilting this. Well hand quilting three of the spikes, that is all I managed to do for the whole day. And today I unpicked it all. My hand quilting is crap. All uneven and yuck. Such sharp points and then to spoil it all by dodgy quilting. So I have unpicked it and am going to machine quilt it. Same as the other one I think. Thank you for the great photo Michelle. I look like I know what I am doing here! Ha!

Me, too! I'm the same way, I just can't get the hang of it. I don't get it because I can hand applique with the best of them. Sigh.

That design is too gorgeous to have it look yucky...at least now it will look as fantastic as the other one. Practice your hand quilting on something ugly instead! LOL

Sorry you had to take out your stitching but I totally get it. I unpicked my recent table runner twice before I finally got it right!

Hope you just LOVED your weekend at SIT.

I am crap at hand quilting too. But I decided to leave my stitches in as it is a quilt to be used to keep warm and if someone looks that close, then they are not worthy of my little treasure. It will remain in the family and they just have to put up with it. It is a record of my hand quilting progress. lol
