It is the exciting time of the DQS#11, the receiving! Mine should arrive at it's new home any day now, but look what arrived at my house yesterday! An absolute beauty from the amazingly talented Rita from Red Pepper Quilts! "Ohhh, that's very you" the husband commented when I showed him excitedly. Yes, bright colours on a crisp white background with a strippy binding, very me! Thank you Rita!
I had to pinch myself. Look at the back!
And wait there is more! She knitted me this sweet little shawl. Even though Grace is modeling it in this photo, she will not be wearing it! We have a fancy school social event on Saturday night, guess what I am wearing over my little black dress?
And I took down a quilt I had made for the last round of the swap and replaced it with Rita's masterpiece for all to see that come in the house. Thanks again Rita. I feel very lucky to have a Red Pepper Quilt in my house.

Ooooh! Yes, you are very lucky! What a cracker of a quilt!!
She dis pick your style very well. I'd be tempted to hang it up backwards though - love that backing design!
Daz was right, totally you. Very beautiful
Lucky! What fun!
Very you Helen! I've been making these same blocks this week. Feels nice to be quilting....even if all the other 'stuff' is piling up around me!
No one deserves it more, my friend! And a lovely shawl to boot? Wow!
What a swap to receive!!!!!!!! I was just reading about a quilt block diva, Rita, on Carol's blog, mamacjt, and then I read of your Rita receipt, I like the connections flowing in Blogland. And the back.....it is my favorite! I giggled with your husband's comment because it is fun for me to hear my husband's remark when i get squishies in the mail. FUN!!! So glad I dropped by today to visit! Em at http://mcelebrates.blogspot.com
Love it Helen. I really liked this quilt that Rita did - especially the back.

Oh! Super lucky you!!!! What a sweet doll quilt and that shawl is stunningly beautiful!!!
I found many interesting things, especially in your blog discussions. You can use a small transformation of the blog layout though, but the overall design is very good.
