Unfortunately Helen....

I stumbled across this funny blog meme I think you'd call it, here last night. It gave me a chuckle before I joined the snoring husband in bed.

Basically you type "Unfortunately.....insert your first name here" into Google and see what comes up, just for fun. You have to do the "" quote things to make it work. Here's what "Unfortunately Helen" came up with.

Unfortunately, Helen refused to take no for an answer, forcing them to face up to their feelings and causing turmoil in the Fitzgerald marriage.

Unfortunately Helen was thrown away by the studio.

Unfortunately, Helen fell from the Fugly tree and hit every limb on the way down.

Unfortunately, Helen is the last of her kind.

Unfortunately, Helen, as the fairest of her sex, was the prize destined for Paris.

Unfortunately, Helen was rather unlucky in getting work, she did have a short spell working for Northampton Council.

Unfortunately, Helen's dress looks a little like a safety harness.

Unfortunately, Helen passed away in the early 1990's.

Unfortunately, Helen liked to gamble and by all accounts she wasn't very good at it.

But I saved the best for last, it wasn't on the list but this sums up the last 24 hours...

Unfortunately Helen had a crap day quilting and has to unpick alllllllllll the quilting she did yesterday! The above photo is a pile of my efforts so far.....

I beg to differ!! I'm sure Grace and Milly will turn out just as wonderful as their Mum

FORTUNATELY I found this incredible person named Helen and enjoy following her blog very much! Sorry about the un-quilting ... that's a bummer.

Unfortunately I will now have to do this tomorrow!

Too funny, I like the one about the dress looking like a safety harness... The mind boggles!

LOL! Yours are great too! Go and have a look at mine I did last night. I don't know why this meme is so funny, but it just is.

OK, tell me what a "meme" is ... and I had to try the "unfortunately" with my own name and I was amazed by how many things came up, I didn't think there were many Donna's out there, since it's kind of an old fashioned name by today's standards. (But a classic, like Helen!)

That is HILARIOUS!! Do you mind if I do that over at my place?

By the way, when you fell from the Fugly tree, was it every one of your limbs or the tree's limbs that you hit? I guess either would be painful. :-)

LOL Girls, I am glad it gave everyone as much amusement as me!

Fortunately Helen is lucky to have such lovely blogging friends!

Been there, done that, just like everyone else! There is a reason those commercial quilters are so good. They get to quilt tons of quilt tops (well a lot more than us). We are lucky if we do 10 a year. At least I am lucky if I do 10 a year. They get so much more practice than me :-)

I love this!
I'm doing the same meme now, and this post came up second in my google search (after one about Helen of Troy).

I thought you'd get a kick out of that. I know I did.
