AJ's Mystery Quilt Top Finished!

I finished this quilt top over the weekend, it is AJ's Mystery Quilt. Well it is not longer a mystery as it is finished! It's the biggest thing I have sewn for ages! I had to peg it to the clothes line to get it all in the photo.

I used up every single pin I own! I realized after I had taped the backing down that I had run out of spray adhesive, so I have sandwiched it without, pinned every 6 inches which I hope is enough...

Now I just have to wait for this to get better before quilting it. I pulled a cuticle back about 10 days ago and thought it would heal by itself but its getting more painful each day and if I accidentally knock it against something, the pain brings tears to my eyes. I have just googled finger cuticle infection and supposedly if I don't get it seen to my finger will fall off! So off to the GP we go tomorrow. :(

Nasty looking finger. Off to the doctor with that one!

Congratulations on finishing that quilt top. It feels so good to put those final stitches into a project.

Now, are you planning to machine or hand quilt? Either way, I'm guessing it will be a big job. Good luck.

Andi :-)

Gorgeous quilt - and the finger is pretty too in it's own way. :) Hope it's feeling better soon.

Oooh your poor little finger. Hope it heals up soon xx

I LOVE the quilt, the colours are amazing (especially the border fabric, very yummy)

That's lovely, Helen - so colourful! I hope your finger gets better quickly. It's such a pain having a sore finger (I had a ganglion a couple of months ago) You don't realise how much you use your hands everyday until you get something like that.

Good lord you have been busy Helen! And now I understand about 'the finger'! Hope it's all better now.

Great work on the mystery quilt. Where's it going? On the wall, a bed or somewhere else? It's lovely.

ooh I have had that exact thing not too long ago! The doctor decided to lance it and I screamed! It took a good dose of antibiotics to get it better, so be patient. Hope it is feeling much better soon.
