A Sunday Sandwich.

I have spent my Sunday morning on my hands and knees sandwiching this quilt top. I'll admit that even though I finished this quilt top a few weekends ago, I have been putting off this bit! I don't like the sandwiching bit anymore! The piecing, yes, love that bit. The quilting itself, yep, bring it on. But the ironing, the taping, the smoothing out of wrinkles, the spray glue then all the pinning........ no wonder I have been putting it off! We are heading down to Perth for the Christmas holidays and already I am wondering just how I can convince my Mother to let me take her Happy Jack quilting frame back home in the car with me!

That looks fabulous Helen - love the striping of the rows too.

Looks great Helen. I think you need to get that quilting machine back I've got two quilts I would happily send you to practice on!

Good luck with that frame! I've gotten to the point where if it's over a baby quilt size, it goes to the quilt shop to be longarmed. If I get on the floor now, Lord knows if I'd ever get back up again.

Your quilt is beautiful! I have been thinking about basting recently, and I wonder why you use both glue and pins instead of one or the other.

Ooh, those colors are just yummy! And why do you use glue and pins? I just use glue and find it holds fine while I quilt.....

I feel your pain. I'm getting too damn old to get down on my hands and knees for anything. Actually, I can get down ok, but getting up is a lot harder. And getting Up and Down and Up and Down is just out of the question!

Hugs from across the miles!
